| Hunter Smith is an 18th generation South Carolinian, who has been tutored in the southern hunting tradition from a very early age. He has concentrated all of his sporting efforts within the boundaries of his home state for the last 36 years and has hunted and fished every region of South Carolina from the mountains to the sea. He has pursued game animals across his native state with shotguns, rifles, black powder, compound and recurved bows. He has been a professional guide since he was 16 years old and has guided both independently and for various outfits across the midlands and the lowcountry of South Carolina for the past 26 years. He is well versed in every aspect of the trade and founded Riverland Guide Service based on his experiences with both private properties and public access lands and has combined his extensive knowledge of both to create a truly unique outfit On top of his extensive knowledge game animals, he is well versed in the history and development of the South Carolina Lowcountry habitat. On one of his tours you will learn about the American Revolution in South Carolina, walking the same woods as the the Swamp Fox himself. Native American and industrial influences will also be seen, as well as a wealth of native bird, plant, and animal habitat. The South Carolina Lowcountry is a truely magical place, and Hunter can show you all that it has to offer. | |
| Captain Tony Geisman is native to Florida but has been a resident of South Carolina for 35 years. He has been a high seas captain for over 40 years and has fished all over the world. He is a consummate seaman and is one of the most respected deep sea captains in the business. Hunter and Tony are life-long friends. They have hunted together for nearly three decades and have fished together around the globe. Their friendship, teamwork, and combined knowledge, makes Riverland a one of a kind operation. Captain Geisman has spent a life time in the outdoors and has a keen, intimate knowledge of the history and beautiful habitat that the South Carolina Low Country has to offer. | |
